About Robert Loigu Fitness

The Structured Interactional Fitness Technique
Robert Loigu

Robert Loigu was born in Royal Oak, Michigan in March of 1966. At the age of 6 months, Robert and his parents traveled via car from Michigan to their new home in Tustin, California. This is where Robert’s successful athletic career started. As a young boy, Robert was introduced to the swimming pool and swam like a fish. His strong swimming stroke was noticed by a swimming instructor and recommended that he take up swimming competitively.  Robert’s parents took the advise and a short time later he was swimming for one of Orange Counties top swim teams. It did not take Robert very long to become competitive and he was winning races regularly. His dedication and long hours of training put him close to several Orange County swimming records.

Robert was introduced to team sports (football, baseball and basketball) when he was about 8 years old. To the disappointment of his parents, Robert retired from swimming and became a dominate team sport participant. His first days on the field and court turned out to be the right decision as he helped his teammates win many city, county and state championships.

In 1979 the Loigu family moved to Fallbrook, California which is located in Northern San Diego County. Shortly after establishing residency, Robert was getting involved with team sports and making a name for himself. Again, his dominance on the field was being noticed and his individual success helped aid several individual and team league titles. As his success on and off the field increased, he was being recruited by many top colleges to continue his education and athletic career. After several recruiting trips, Robert decided that UCLA is where he wanted to continue his education and football career. In the Summer of 1984 Robert headed to UCLA where he made the Bruin team as a defensive back. He decided to study Pre-Med as it was a life time goal of his to become a doctor. He worked hard on and off the field and his Junior year he blew out his knee during practice. This ended up being a career ending injury. Robert was blessed to have three years of education, a Fiesta Bowl and Rose Bowl Championship under his wing. The fact of not being able to play competitive sports any more was very difficult for him and he decided to pack up his bags and headed home to Fallbrook.

In 1988, Robert dedicated to become a Personal Trainer thanks to all the great strength coaches he had at UCLA. He had a passion for working out and seeing his body change from eating properly and the endless hours in the gym. The summer of 1988 the local Fallbrook paper decided to do an article on Robert’s colligate success and introduce him to the community as a Personal Trainer. A week later after the publication was received by the Fallbrook community the phone started to ring. His first official day of business Robert had 12 clients booked and his business was off and running. During this time Personal Training was just taking off as a fade. Robert trained all of his clients in the comfort of their homes and business”. As his clients achieved their goals the referrals started to increase. He developed a good name in the fitness community and was then contacted by several local gyms and studio’s to bring his workout expertise to their facilities. This is when Robert started training clients in health clubs through Southern California. He also, continued to develop successful workout programs for those clients that wanted to stay at home and train.

As Robert loved sports he wanted to help younger athletes develop their skills on and off the field and once again called upon the Fallbrook community to support his kids fitness. Robert to date has mentored many, many student athletes and has even helped them get athletic scholarships throughout the United States.

In 2009 Robert’s success as an trainer was noticed by World Physique Magazine an International Fitness Publication. The asked him to write articles and help their subscribers achieve better health. During that summer Robert was awarded their Top Personal Trainer of the year.
